Sibiu is a longer drive than most clients expect – 280 kilometers across the Carpathians, around 4.5 hours each way on the A1 motorway. We almost always recommend booking it as a two-day trip rather than a same-day return. The historic center, ASTRA Village Museum, and Brukenthal Palace deserve at least a full day on foot.
In summer (July through October), the trip becomes something completely different.
